If you have tried swiping your credit card more than once and are still getting this error message: 

OR you walk up to the station screen and see that the credit card reader is currently out of service:

There are still two payment options to choose from: 

1. Log into your PlugShare user account on your mobile device (or sign up for one) and Pay with PlugShare through the app.

2. Request remote activation over the phone by dialing our toll-free customer service number shown at the bottom of the station screen.
