Not all EVs are capable of fast charging, though virtually all new battery-only vehicles can. Plug-in hybrid vehicles (like the Chevy Volt) are not able to fast charge.
We use the two most common fast charging connector types, CHAdeMO (used with Japanese and Korean fast-charge capable EVs, including Nissan and Kia), and CCS, used by other automakers, except Tesla.
Tesla vehicles have their own unique fast charger connector standard that does not fit on our chargers. Tesla drivers can, however, purchase an adapter to allow them to use the CHAdeMO port on our chargers. Contact Tesla to learn more, and to see if your vehicle is compatible with the adapter.
