Phase 1, beginning this year, is targeted for completion in 2019. This phase will stretch from Santa Barbara County to the Oregon border along US-101, and along CA-152 between Gilroy and CA-99. This will encompass 23 different locations, with a maximum of six DC fast-chargers and a minimum of two. 22 of the Phase 1 locations will also have Level 2 charger.
Drivers of a long-range battery electric vehicle, like the Chevy Bolt, will be able to safely travel between Downtown LA, Fresno, San Francisco, San Jose, Sacramento, the Oregon border, and points in-between. The longest distance between these locations, will be 140 miles, but more commonly, station locations will be less than 40 miles apart.
Phase 2 will stretch across the rest of California and up I-5 to the Canadian border. We will also have a site in Las Vegas. We target completion by 2021.
